Bridal Expo Extravaganza!!

This past Sunday, some of my beautiful bridesmaids, my mom, and I went to my first ever bridal expo at the Germain Arena. It was so much fun! Just from that short experience, I can tell my loving family and friends are going to take such good care of me on my wedding day. Thanks guys! I love you all! There were a ton of different vendors, free food, and a lot of chances to win free stuff. Keep your fingers crossed :) Thanks again for going with me ladies!

We had a video for this post, but I'm not able to upload it yet. I'll try my hardest to get it up and running.

On the 21st, Brian and I took Michelle's cousin, Kyle, out to the Immokalee race track. I think he thoroughly enjoyed himself. Brian did pretty well. He made it to the 4th round and his car was quicker than usual. He had pretty good lights: a perfect reaction time is .500 and he was getting .508 lights and .510 lights. Not too shabby. He was also able to run his time "dead on", as the racing crowd puts it. That means he said his car was going to take 4.97 seconds to go a 1/8 of a mile, and the car actually went 4.970 seconds, twice. Again, not too shabby.

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Brian and I spent our Valentine's Day dinner at Guy Harvey's on Marco. We were planning on watching the sunset, but once that fog moved in there was no chance we'd be able to see the sunset through The Mist. Regardless, we were able to enjoy a nice dinner at Guy Harvey's.

5 Months and Counting

Brian and I have already gotten a lot of preparations for our wedding in order, but we still have a lot more to do. With only 5 months left, it seems as though we could walk down the aisle tomorrow, but little details still need to be finalized. I look at our timeline everyday, and although we have marked off quite a few things, we still have a lot more to go. Of all the big things that need to be planned, we have booked our church, reception site, photographer, florist, baker, and dj. I have my dress, the bridesmaids almost have all of their dresses, we know what the men are wearing, I have purchased the jewelry for the bridesmaids and myself, and I know what shoes I would like to purchase for the bridesmaids. We have purchased the invitations, programs, I have typed up our invitation, and we have almost all of the things needed for our place cards/party favors. And, our honeymoon is planned, courtesy of Brian :) After writing all of that, I wonder what there is left to do! 5 months to go before I become Mrs. Rachel Boose. Whoo hoo! We're so excited!

Awards Ceremony

At the end of Brian's racing season they hold an awards ceremony where the various winners are given their trophies, plaques, and monetary winnings. A big dinner is served with delicious steaks, salad, and baked potatoes. It's always a good time and a nice way to relax and mingle with the other racers. Brian placed 2nd in the Immokalee race track points and 1st in the Summit Series points.

Trimming the Tree

Our first Christmas tree in our brand new home. It was so fun decorating it and celebrating Christmas in our first home together.

To add to the Christmas cheer, we went down to Marco with the parents, Chandler, Alexis, and Mindy to watch the Marco Christmas parade. The weather was a little chilly and there was so much Christmas spirit.

I realize I haven't posted something new in a long time, but that is partially due to the fact that we haven't taken a lot of pictures recently. Here's what we have so far, and hopefully we'll be taking more pictures soon.

Brian loves fishing, so in early December we went down to Marco to do a little fishing. I caught quite a few fish, but they were all catfish. Those damn catfish! That's why there are no pictures of my fish. Brian caught quite a few fish also, and his were actually worth taking pictures of. The huge fish is a picture of a snook. It was definitely a fighter and well worth catching the catfish before we got the big guy.
